Podcast: Detroit Lions High School Coach of the Year Tyrone Spencer
The accolades keep rolling in for Detroit Martin Luther King High School head coach Tyrone Spencer.
Fresh off his second straight Michigan state title, Spencer was named Detroit Lions 2022 High School Coach of the Year.
Spencer has won four Michigan Division three state titles in seven years coaching his alma mater. He graduated from Detroit King in 2003.
Since returning, Spencer has led the Crusaders to a 75-17 record, including a 30-3 mark in the postseason.
Spencer is now a finalist for the Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award. The winner will be announced in January.
