Rewind Wednesday: Drew Lock
Every Wednesday, High School Football America’s Jeff Fisher will dive into his well-stocked treasure chest of interviews to talk with NFL players who love to talk about their love of high school football.
This week’s Rewind Wednesday takes you back to Jeff’s interview with current Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock. Lock was selected 42nd overall in the 2019 NFL Draft and was the Broncos starter for much of the 2020 season, throwing for nearly 3,000 yards in 13 starts.
This July 2014 interview centered on Lock’s upcoming senior season at Lee’s Summit High School in Missouri. Lock talked about his performance at the Elite 11 quarterback competition led by former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer, his goals for his senior season, and his love of basketball as an all-state high school point guard.
