Rewind Wednesday: Jerry Sisemore
Every Wednesday, High School Football America’s Jeff Fisher will dive into his well-stocked treasure chest of interviews to talk with NFL players who love to talk about their love of high school football.
This week’s Rewind Wednesday takes you back to Jeff’s interview with offensive lineman Jerry Sisemore, a College Football Hall of Famer who played his entire 12-year career for the the Philadelphia Eagles.
Sisemore played his high school football in western Texas at Plainview High School. In college, he was a two-time unanimous All-American at the University of Texas. Sisemore, pictured above receiving the call from the Eagles on draft day, was the third player selected in 1973.
Sisemore had a successful Eagles career, making the Pro Bowl 1979 and 1981. He was voted into the Eagles Hall of Fame in 1991.
Surprisingly, Sisemore really didn’t want to play football as a youngster. Click the play button below to listen to Sisemore talk about his first love.
