Basha Sits Atop Preseason HSFA Arizona Top 10 High School Football Rankings
Reigning Open Division champ Basha starts 2026 No. 1 in the Preseason High School Football America Arizona Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. The Bears, who are ranked No. 21 in the HSFA 300 national rankings, have a lot of offensive firepower back, including running back Noah Roberts, a Texas commit. Roberts ran for 761 yards last year and caught 50 passes for 562 yards. He scored 14 total touchdowns.
Quarterback Jake Rogers, a High School Football America Arizona Academic All-American, is back. He's committed to Princeton after completing 113 of 165 passes for 1,545 yards with 13 touchdowns.
This week, Basha opens with No. 3 Chandler, the team they beat for the state title last year.
No. 2 Liberty's run of two straight Open Division titles came to an end in the state semifinals last year with a 19-16 loss.
