Baylor Heads 2026 Preseason HSFA Tennessee Top 10
Two reigning Tennessee high school football champs sit at the top of the 2026 Preseason High School Football America Tennessee Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football.
2025 Division II-AAA champ Baylor comes into the year at No. 1 in the state with 5-star running back David Gabriel Georges leading the Red Raiders’ offensive attack. The Tennessee recruit is the No. 1 running back in the Class of 2027, according to High School Football America’s running back rankings.
DGG, a native of Quebec, Canada, relocated to the United States ahead of his sophomore year and enrolled at the Chattanooga school. He was dominant last year, rushing for 1,756 yards and 27 touchdowns. Over the last two years, he has gained 2,859 yards with 41 touchdowns. In both seasons, he won the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football award for Division II-AAA.

No. 2 Oakland will be looking for its third straight 6A title this year. The Patriots have won six state championships in the last 10 years under head coach Kevin Creasy.
Following Oakland in the Top 10 is McCallie at No. 3, Brentwood Academy at No. 4 and Alcoa at No. 5. The Tornadoes will be going after their 12th straight state title this year.
