Nationally-Ranked Brownsburg Wins Third Straight Colts 7-on-7 Tournament

Brownsburg (Indiana), ranked No. 17 in the Preseason High School Football America 100, powered by NFL Play Football, is already looking like it’s in midseason form, even though it’s still summer. Earlier this week, the Bulldogs, winners of back-to-back Indiana 6A state titles, won their third straight Indianapolis Colts 7-on-7 Tournament championship.

The Bulldogs beat three teams that are also ranked in the Preseason HSFA 300 — No. 153 Westfield, two-time reigning 5A champ New Palestine at No. 223 and Cathedral at No. 229. Brownsburg defeated Westfield 38-21 in the championship game. The two programs have met in each of the last two Indiana 6A state title games.

The winner and runner-up received grants from Colts Football Development.

Other schools that participated included Adams Central, Andrean, Bishop Chatard, Brebeuf Jesuit, Cascade, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, Evansville Memorial, Lebanon, Martinsville, Pioneer and South Putnam.
