Washington Commanders Host 2026 High School Football Media Day

The Washington Commanders teamed up with the DMV High School Football Coaches Association to kick off the 2026 season in a big way. The NFL team welcomed representatives from 46 high school tackle football programs across the region to Northwest Stadium for their inaugural High School Tackle Media Day.

The day was designed to equip student-athletes with the tools needed to thrive on and off the field as they prepare for opportunities beyond high school. Thursday's event featured financial literacy and mental wellness workshops led by Northwest Federal Credit Union and the Positive Coaches Alliance.

The program also included media interviews and photo sessions, along with insights from Washington Legends Brian Mitchell, Fred Smoot and Josh Wilson; Washington on-air talent Bryan Colbert Jr.; and Commanders Team President Mark Clouse.
