Champlain Valley Union Ends 2024 No. 1 Vermont Top 5 High School Football Rankings
Champlain Valley Union is the top team in the final 2024 High School Football America Vermont Top 5 high school football rankings. The Redhawks finish No. 1 on the heels of winning their second Division I title in the last three years.
Last Saturday, CVU (11-0) beat No. 2 Rutland 41-14 in the state championship game at St. Johnsbury Academy.
Middlebury finishes No. 3, followed by Hartford at No. 4 and Essex at No. 5 in the rankings created with HSFA’s proprietary algorithm.
The state’s other two state champs are Fair Haven Union (Division II) and Woodstock (Division III).
