St. Thomas Aquinas Head Coach Roger Harriott Shares His Coaching Philosophy

Since returning to his alma mater in 2015, St. Thomas Aquinas head coach Roger Harriott has improved upon the program's tradition of excellence.

Heading into the final weekend of the regular season, St. Thomas Aquinas is on track for a fourth straight Class 7A state championship. If the Raiders can win another title this year, it will be the sixth for Coach Harriott.

St. Thomas Aquinas is currently ranked No. 6 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

After earning the Miami Dolphins High School Coach of the Week Award for Week 7, Harriott discussed his role as a coach with High School Football America.

"I have high expectations of myself," Harriott said. "Those expectations go beyond the field. I pride myself on being an educator, a mentor and a role model. When I’m out on the field, I encourage our coaches to inspire our kids."
