Final High School Football America Public Schools 100 for 2025

A fan favorite every year is the High School Football America Public Schools 100. This ranking, created with our proprietary algorithm, is a subset of the High School Football America 300 national rankings powered by NFL Play Football.

For the second year in a row, a Georgia school sits at the top of the HSFA Public Schools 100.

Georgia 6A champ Buford is the No. 1 public school in America. The Wolves finished a perfect 15-0 by winning their 15th overall state championship Tuesday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons.

Buford beat No. 4 Carrollton for the championship in a game that started Tuesday night and ended early Wednesday morning.

Buford and Carrollton are two of 15 schools from Georgia ranked in the HSFA Public Schools 100, including last year's Public Schools champ Milton at No. 89.

Coming in at No. 2 is California's Corona Centennial. Year in and year out, the Huskies are one of the best schools in the nation. CC finished 11-2 with both losses coming at the hands of California Open Division champ Santa Margarita.

Louisiana's Edna Karr, which usually plays and beats some of the state's top private schools, checks in at No. 3. Karr, a highly regarded public magnet school in New Orleans, actually won the Select Division I state championship, a division that is made up of the top private schools in the state.

Texas has the most schools in the HSFA Public Schools 100, led by North Shore at No. 7. Here are the 24 Texas teams that fall in the Top 100:
