Georgia's Top 25 High School Football Teams in 2025

2025 will go down as the year of the Buford Wolves in Georgia. The Wolves, who won their 15th overall title, are the No. 1 team in the final High School Football America Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

The 6A state champs not only finish No. 1 in Georgia, but they are the top public team in the nation in the HSFA Public Schools 100. It's the second year in a row that a Georgia team is the best public school in the nation. Milton was No. 1 in 2024.

On the national scene, Buford finishes No. 4. In all, 27 Georgia teams were ranked in the final HSFA 300.

Falling in behind Buford in the statewide rankings, created with HSFA's proprietary algorithm, is 6A runner-up Carrollton at No. 2, followed by 4A champ Creekside at No. 3, Grayson at No. 4 and 5A champ Thomas County Central at No. 5.
