Ohio's Marion Local Now 7th on All-Time High School Football Win Streak List

Marion Local’s 42-12 win over Lehman Catholic marked the Flyers’ 75th consecutive victory, placing the program seventh on the all-time win streak list. The last time Marion Local lost was in the 2020 Division VII championship game to New Bremen. Since then, the Flyers have claimed four straight state championships, outscoring opponents by an average of 36 points per game.

On the all-time list, Marion Local is now just one win behind Celina (Texas), which notched 76 consecutive victories from 1998 to 2002. Securing a fifth consecutive state championship would extend the Flyers’ streak to 79 games, tying Smith Center (Kansas) for fifth place.

You may be wondering if Marion Local could eventually challenge De La Salle’s (California) national record of 151 straight wins. To break the Spartans’ incredible streak, the Flyers would need to win a fifth straight title and continue their run until late in the 2030 season—assuming they play 15 games per year.

Below is the current active win streak.
