Texas' Top 25 High School Football Teams in 2025
North Shore finishes atop the 2025 High School Football America Texas Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Mustangs' No. 1 ranking, created with HSFA's proprietary algorithm, came after beating former No. 1 Duncanville 10-7 for the Class 6A Division I state championship.
On the national scene, North Shore finishes No. 16 in the HSFA 100. The Mustangs are one of 42 Texas teams ranked nationally at the end of '25.
Duncanville finishes No. 2 in the state and No. 17 nationally.
5A Division II state champ South Oak Cliff finishes No. 3 after winning its third state crown in the last five years. The Golden Bears wrapped up 2025 No. 19 in America.
DeSoto, the Class 6A Division II champ, finishes No. 4 in the Lone Star State after a 3-3 start. The Eagles have now won three UIL state championships in the last four years.
Smithson Valley roars into the final statewide rankings at No. 9 after winning its second straight title. The Rangers won 14 straight after opening the season 1-1.
