Former Giants O-Lineman Rich Seubert on His Coaching Career at Watchung Hills High School

NFL Legend Rich Seubert is enjoying his new career as the head football coach at Watchung Hills High School in New Jersey.

Seubert, who played his entire career with the New York Giants and won a Super Bowl XLII ring, will enter his sixth season as the leader of the Warriors’ football program this fall.

Seubert is providing something the program didn’t have prior to his arrival — stability. At the time of his hiring, Watchung Hills had gone through three head coaches in three years with very little success on the field.

During the shortened 2020 campaign, Seibert led the Warriors to a 5-2 record, the school’s best record winning percentage in over two decades. After the season, Seubert was named the Big Central Football Conference’s Division 4 Coach of the Year.

Below, you can watch Seubert talk with High School Football America’s Jeff Fisher about his role in turning around the program’s football fortunes. He also talks about his joys of playing high school football and basketball at Columbus Catholic in Wisconsin, where he won two state titles in each sport.
