Jaguars Elite and Texas Fury Texans Win National Titles at 2025 NFL FLAG Championships

The nation’s best youth flag football teams competed in thrilling fashion at the 2025 NFL FLAG Championships, with the Texas Fury Texans seizing the High School Girls division crown and the Jaguars Elite capturing the 14U Boys title. The annual tournament, held at the ForeverLawn Sports Complex, continues to showcase the explosive growth of flag football across the country.

Texas Fury Texans Dominate High School Girls Division

After falling short in last year’s semifinals, Coach Keenan Hughs’ Texas Fury Texans returned with renewed determination, culminating in a 19-0 shutout of the Bad Rabbits Cowboys in the championship game. Quarterback Emery Beckett delivered a flawless performance, completing all eight of her passes for 102 yards and three touchdowns to be named MVP. Receivers Zahara Hill and Kelsey Quinn accounted for all Texans touchdowns, while Kaitlyn Reynolds and Sonya Chalil each notched game-changing interceptions in a stifling defensive effort.

“Our girls turned it on when it mattered most and proved they had the heart of champions,” said Coach Hughs, who lauded the program’s impact, adding that every graduating Texans athlete has continued their career at the collegiate level.

The Texans reached the final by edging past Conquer (Chargers) 7-6 in the semifinals, thanks to clutch plays by Beckett and Quinn. The Bad Rabbits advanced after an 8-yard touchdown from Giovanna Ortiz to Camila Gomez secured a 7-0 win over AA Select Eagles.

Jaguars Elite Seal 14U Boys Championship

Representing the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jaguars Elite capped a dominant weekend with a 13-0 victory over Team Showtime (Atlanta Falcons) for the 14U Boys crown. Tournament MVP Brysen Wright was pivotal on both sides of the ball, including a highlight-reel one-handed pass breakup and contributions to all seven wins in the tournament. The Jaguars struck first with a 30-yard scoring grab by Jaiden Barnett and widened the margin on Ry’land Williams’ 15-yard double-lateral touchdown. Quarterback Dalton Motes went 8-for-12 for 108 yards and two touchdowns in the title game.

“It’s just a blessing to come out here and win with my guys and to bring it back to the city,” said Wright, whose remarkable tournament play garnered the attention of NFL stars. Head coach David “Bobo” Price championed Wright and the rapid growth of flag football, emphasizing its fast-paced, electrifying nature.

Jaguars Elite cruised through the semifinals with a 41-12 victory over RFP (Bills), highlighted by six Motes touchdown passes and 163 receiving yards from Wright. Showtime earned their finals spot after dispatching High Intensity (49ers) 13-7.
