New England Patriots Coach of the Week Brian Pinabell One Win Away from State Championship

After an 0-3 start, Bishop Feehan is one win away from playing for a Massachusetts Division 2 state championship at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots.

With the Shamrocks on a six-game win streak, Ryan Pinabell is being honored by the Patriots as their High School Coach of the Week. This weekend Feehan will play King Philip Regional for the right to advance to the December 3 championship game.

Feehan entered the postseason as the No. 14 seed. Over the past two weekends, Pinabell has led his team to wins over unbeaten Peabody (8-0) and Reading (9-0).

The fourth year head coach entered 2022 with 26 seniors, including five all five offensive linemen. In the win over Peabody, the offensive line opened a lot of holes for Nick Yanchuk, who gained 362-yards with six touchdowns in a 48-6 victory.

“He’s (Yanchuk) a special player,”  Pinabell told the Sun Chronicle after the game. “Props to the offensive line. I’ve got five seniors up front, they’ve played together for three years. We played a good defense. I don’t know if people recognize that, but we physically dominated them up front.”

Earlier this week, Patriots and Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Andre Tippett, now the team’s Executive Director of Community Affairs, met with the Shamrock football team and cheerleading squad to present the football program with a $1,000 donation on behalf of the Patriots Foundation in honor of Coach Pinabell.
