New York Jets 2025 High School Girls Flag Media Day
Over 75 New Jersey high school teams kicked off the 2025 girls flag football season by taking part in the New York Jets’ second annual Girls High School Flag Football Media Day at MetLife Stadium. The event was presented by Nike and supported by Gatorade and Visa.
Throughout the day-long event, two players and their head coach from each school appeared on stage to answer questions from local media.
Participants enjoyed custom photos, dynamic videos, a locker room tour, and lunch. The girls and coaches collaborated to design Nike uniforms, showcasing their creativity and teamwork.

Players also had the opportunity to attend a Q&A session with USA Football National Team players Deliah Autry and Izzy Geraci, who shared valuable advice, their experiences playing flag football, and their personal journeys in promoting the sport globally.

The Jets support for Girls Flag Football began in 2011 with the launch of a league with the PSAL in New York City, becoming the first NFL Club to help launch Girls Flag Football at the varsity level. A decade later, in 2021, the Jets and Nike launched the first High School Girls Flag Football League in New Jersey.
Launched with the intention of providing girls an equitable opportunity to play football compared to their male counterparts, the long-term goal of the Jets support is to have the sport adopted as an official high school statewide championship sport, which officially came to fruition last spring in both New York and is imminent for New Jersey.
Since 2011, the Jets have committed over $1.5 million to support Girls Flag and create opportunities for girls in football. In total, the Jets will support over 200 Girls Flag Football programs domestically and over 6,000 participants in 2025.
