NFL Legend David Garrard on Coaching Young QBs and His High School Football Memories

NFL Legend David Garrard enjoys giving back to the game that has given him so much.

The former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback was on hand earlier this year to help at the Jaguars' third annual High School QB Skills Challenge.

He told the 160 high school players in attendance — both boys and girls  that quarterback "is the best position in the world." The 10-year NFL vet added it’s important for players to focus on giving their all on every play and never getting down, even after a bad play.

Garrard played nine years with the Jacksonville Jaguars, making the Pro Bowl in 2009. Before that, he played high school football at Southern Durham High School in North Carolina, where he threw for over 9,000 yards.

During the skills competition, Garrard took some time to talk with High School Football America's Jeff Fisher about why he likes giving back to the game and his love of high school football.
