NFL Legend Erik Harris Becomes Head Coach at Gulf Breeze HS in Florida

Erik Harris, who played 8-years in the National Football League, is the new head football coach at Gulf Breeze High School in Florida. Signed as an undrafted free agent after playing collegiately at California University of Pennsylvania, Harris recorded 267 tackles with five interceptions. During 2019, with the Oakland Raiders, he returned two of his three interceptions for touchdowns.

Gulf Breeze is coming off a 2-8 season. The Dolphins play in the 5A District 1, which had two teams finish 2024 in the High School Football America 300 — Niceville at No. 169 and Mosley at No. 289.

Harris played his high school ball at New Oxford High School in Pennsylvania.
