Nick Offenberger Named NFL Play Football Youth Coach of the Week for the Arizona Cardinals

Nick Offenberger loves coaching football and has been involved in the sport since graduating from high school.

“Once I got into it [coaching], I knew this was why God put me on this earth… to lead young men,” said Offenberger, the Week 4 winner of the NFL Play Football Youth Coach of the Week Award, representing the Arizona Cardinals.

Offenberger is the founder of Future U Football, and his success spans all levels of the sport. He led Future U/Scottsdale Argonauts to ten consecutive undefeated state championship seasons in the 8th grade division. He also served as Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Phoenix All-Stars, guiding them to the 2024 American Youth Football (AYF) 14U Conference All-Star National Championship.

In addition to his youth coaching accomplishments, Offenberger has coached at the high school level, winning four Arizona state championships as part of the staff at Saguaro High School. He is currently in his first year as the head coach at McClintock High School.

“The NFL Play Football Coach of the Week Award in partnership with AYF & Pop Warner honors those who do more than teach the game at the younger levels,” said Roman Oben, NFL's Vice President of Football Development. “It celebrates leaders who inspire character, teamwork, and a lifelong love of football in the next generation.”

Below, Offenberger joins High School Football America’s Jeff Fisher to discuss how he develops winning cultures while building character and leadership in the athletes he coaches.

During the 2025 season, American Youth Football and Pop Warner, in partnership with the NFL, will recognize 10 youth coaches of the week representing 10 NFL clubs.
