The sport of girls’ flag high school continues to soar in the state of Georgia, thanks to the Atlanta Falcons. Earlier this month, the NFL team held its fourth annual High School Girls Flag Football Showcase at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Over 200 young women attended the event that was held in conjunction with the Women’s Flag Finals for NAIA and NJCAA schools. 

No player at Pleasant Grove High School in Alabama will ever wear No. 10 again. This past weekend, current Philadelphia Eagles defensive back James Bradberry had his high school number retired during ceremonies in the school's gymnasium.

The entire NFL—including all 32 clubs—is united in supporting the growth and development of flag football as a global game. The league will continue to create opportunities and inspire more athletes to play flag, especially women and girls, which is where we are seeing the fastest growth.

Over 200 NFL FLAG league organizers came together in July 2021 in Las Vegas for the NFL FLAG Summit. The summit celebrated 25 years of FLAG with the leagues who have been with NFL from the beginning and newly established leagues that are constantly evolving with the sport. Participants were also able to learn from professionals and each other on how to grow NFL FLAG.
